Every US federal holiday for any year — all 11 set by 5 U.S.C. 6103, with the observed Friday or Monday when one falls on a weekend — and a PDF calendar.
The list follows the Office of Personnel Management’s rules: Juneteenth is included from 2021, and a Saturday New Year’s Day is observed on Friday 31 December of the year before, so it appears in the earlier year’s list. State holidays such as Cesar Chavez Day, Patriots’ Day or the day after Thanksgiving are not federal and are not included.
Holidays per year, with how many fall on a weekday — 2026: United States 11 (11 on weekdays) · 2027: United States 11 (12 on weekdays).
Step by step
- Pick the year: Use the arrows or type any year from 1990 to 2100; the list for the United States updates as you type.
- Read the list: Each row shows the date, weekday, ISO week, the English and local name, and tags for substitute days or days that aren’t a general day off.
- Print the calendar: Choose the whole year on one page or a month per page, Letter or A4, and weeks starting Sunday or Monday, then click Download PDF calendar.
- Add it to your calendar: Calendar file (.ics) imports the holidays as all-day events into Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar; Spreadsheet (.csv) opens in Excel or Numbers.

Good to know
These are the 11 federal holidays set by 5 U.S.C. 6103. States add their own (e.g. Cesar Chavez Day, Patriots’ Day), and private employers choose which to give.
When a holiday falls on Saturday, federal offices close on the Friday before; on Sunday, the Monday after. A Saturday 1 January is observed on 31 December of the year before.
Inauguration Day (20 January after a presidential election) is a holiday only for federal staff in and around Washington, D.C., and is not included.

Questions
Why is 31 December listed as a holiday?
When 1 January falls on a Saturday — as in 2022 and 2028 — federal employees get Friday 31 December off instead. So 2027 has twelve weekday days off: its own eleven holidays plus the observed New Year’s Day for 2028.
Is Presidents Day a federal holiday?
Yes, under its legal name Washington’s Birthday, on the third Monday of February. “Presidents Day” is the name many states and retailers use.
How far ahead and back does the United States calendar go?
Any year from 1990 to 2100, worked out from the holiday rules — fixed dates, Easter, nth weekdays and the substitution rules — with known one-off holidays and start and end years applied. Dates a government proclaims each year can change, so check official sources for future years.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. The holiday rules and every calculation run in your browser, and the PDF, calendar file and CSV are made on your device. Nothing you type — dates, extra days off — leaves it.
