Ireland’s 10 public holidays (bank holidays) for any year, from St Brigid’s Day to St Stephen’s Day, with ISO week numbers and a printable calendar.
St Brigid’s Day was added in 2023: it is the first Monday of February, or 1 February itself when that is a Friday. The May, June and August holidays are first Mondays, the October one is the last Monday, and a one-off holiday on 18 March 2022 remembered those lost during the pandemic. Good Friday is not a public holiday.
Holidays per year, with how many fall on a weekday — 2026: Ireland 10 (10 on weekdays) · 2027: Ireland 10 (10 on weekdays).
Step by step
- Pick the year: Use the arrows or type any year from 1990 to 2100; the list for Ireland updates as you type.
- Read the list: Each row shows the date, weekday, ISO week, the English and local name, and tags for substitute days or days that aren’t a general day off.
- Print the calendar: Choose the whole year on one page or a month per page, A4 or Letter, and weeks starting Monday or Sunday, then click Download PDF calendar.
- Add it to your calendar: Calendar file (.ics) imports the holidays as all-day events into Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar; Spreadsheet (.csv) opens in Excel or Numbers.

Good to know
Ireland has 10 public holidays. Good Friday is not one, although some businesses close.
When a public holiday falls on a weekend, banks and most employers take the next weekday off; this is shown as a substitute day. Strictly, the law gives employees a paid day off, an extra day of leave or a day’s pay instead.
Count the days between two dates, minus these holidays, with the Ireland working days calculator.

Questions
Is Good Friday a bank holiday in Ireland?
No. It isn’t one of the ten public holidays, so most workplaces are open, although many schools are off.
When is St Brigid’s Day?
The first Monday in February — unless 1 February is a Friday, in which case the holiday is that Friday (as it will be in 2030). It was first observed in 2023.
How far ahead and back does the Ireland calendar go?
Any year from 1990 to 2100, worked out from the holiday rules — fixed dates, Easter, nth weekdays and the substitution rules — with known one-off holidays and start and end years applied. Dates a government proclaims each year can change, so check official sources for future years.
Is anything sent to a server?
No. The holiday rules and every calculation run in your browser, and the PDF, calendar file and CSV are made on your device. Nothing you type — dates, extra days off — leaves it.
