Good to know

  • Old Word 97–2003 .doc files aren’t supported — open and re-save them as .docx first.

  • Fonts you don’t have installed are substituted, so line breaks may differ slightly from Word.

  • Fields such as page numbers and tables of contents show their saved values.

No, this is a viewer. To change a PDF version, convert it with Word to PDF and use Edit PDF.

Does it show tracked changes and comments?

The document is shown as it would look with changes accepted; comments aren’t displayed.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is opened and processed by your browser on your own device — nothing is sent to a server, logged or stored. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool keeps working.
