Step by step
- Open the PDF: Drop it onto the upload area. Enter the password if it’s protected.
- Move around: Scroll, use the arrows or type a page number. Page thumbnails and Bookmarks (when the PDF has them) open a side panel.
- Zoom: Use Zoom in / Zoom out, or Fit to width to fill the window.
- Search: Type in Search text and press Find — matches are highlighted; press Enter to jump to the next page with a match.
- Print or download: Use the printer and download buttons at the top.

Scanned PDFs have no text to search or select — run them through Searchable PDF (OCR) first.
Large PDFs load quickly because pages are drawn only as you scroll to them.
Questions
Why doesn’t search find anything?
The PDF is probably a scan (an image of text). OCR adds a real text layer.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. The file is opened and processed by your browser on your own device — nothing is sent to a server, logged or stored. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool keeps working.
