Remove Pages from a PDF — Including Blank Ones

Click page thumbnails or type ranges to drop pages, with a scan that marks nearly empty pages for removal.

Free, with no sign-up and no watermark. The file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

See every page as a thumbnail, click the ones you don't want, and save a copy without them. A built-in Find blank pages scan marks pages that are almost empty — handy for cleaning up duplex scans that picked up blank backs.

Step by step

  1. Upload the PDF: Thumbnails of every page load one after another.
  2. Mark pages: Click a thumbnail to mark it for deletion; click again to unmark. Marked pages fade out.
  3. Optionally find blanks: Click Find blank pages to automatically mark pages with almost no ink. Review the selection before saving.
  4. Delete: Click the Delete Pages button. The new file downloads with "-edited" in its name.

Handy for

Duplex scans

Remove the blank backs of single-sided originals scanned double-sided.

Trim exports

Drop empty trailing pages that word processors sometimes add.

Redundant pages

Remove repeated terms-and-conditions pages from a bundle.

Privacy

Take out pages with information the recipient shouldn't see.

Good to know

  • The blank-page check treats a page as blank if almost none of it is darker than near-white. Faint scanner noise can stop a page being detected; light watermarks can too.

  • The tool keeps at least one page — a PDF with zero pages isn't a valid file.

  • Removing a page removes it completely. If only part of a page is sensitive, use redaction instead.

Questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read and processed by JavaScript running in your browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server, and the result is created on your device.

Is the blank-page detection reliable?

It works well for truly empty pages. Always look over the marked thumbnails before saving.

Does deleting pages shrink the file?

Usually, yes, although images or fonts shared with the remaining pages stay in the file.

Will the remaining pages change?

No. They are copied exactly.
