Print 2 to 16 PDF Pages on Each Sheet (N-up)

Fit 2, 4, 6, 9 or 16 pages onto each A4 or Letter sheet, scaled and kept in reading order. Free, no sign-up, and your files never leave your device.

Free, with no sign-up and no watermark. The file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Place several PDF pages on a single sheet to save paper or build handouts. Choose 2, 4, 6, 9 or 16 pages per sheet and an A4 or Letter sheet. Pages are scaled to fit their cell and kept in reading order, left to right and top to bottom.

Step by step

  1. Upload the PDF: Any page size works; each page is scaled to its cell.
  2. Choose pages per sheet: Choose a grid: 2, 4, 6, 9 or 16 pages land on each printed sheet.
  3. Choose a sheet size: A4 or Letter. Two-up and six-up use landscape sheets; 4, 9 and 16 per sheet use portrait.
  4. Create: Click Create Sheet Layout. The file downloads with "-2up", "-4up" and so on in its name.

Handy for

Slide handouts

Print a presentation with several slides on each page.

Save paper

Proof-read long drafts at two pages per sheet.

Contact sheets

See many pages at a glance with 9 or 16 per sheet.

Booklets and notes

Print reading material compactly for carrying around.

Good to know

  • Text stays sharp and selectable because each page is placed as vector content, not as a picture.

  • At 9 or 16 per sheet, small print becomes hard to read — use those for overviews.

  • Links and form fields on the original pages are not carried over.

Questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read and processed by JavaScript running in your browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server, and the result is created on your device.

Can I add borders or change the gap?

The layout uses a fixed small margin around each cell; borders are not added.

What if my pages are landscape?

Each page is scaled to fit its cell while keeping its proportions, so landscape pages appear smaller in portrait layouts.

Does it print?

The tool creates a new PDF; print it from any PDF reader at 100% scale.
