Räkna arbetsdagar: count working days in Sweden between two dates, or add working days to a date, skipping weekends, red days and the customary eves.

Week numbers matter in Sweden — meetings, deliveries and school holidays are often given as “vecka 32” — so every calendar shows ISO weeks. Klämdagar, the bridge days between a holiday and a weekend (such as the Friday after Ascension), are normal working days unless your employer gives them; add them as extra days off.

Working days in a whole year, Monday to Friday with public holidays removed — 2026: 251 in Sweden · 2027: 253 in Sweden.

Step by step

  1. Keep Sweden selected: Sweden is preselected — you can switch to any other country in the list.
  2. Enter the dates: For a count, pick the start and end dates and choose whether the end date counts. To find a deadline, switch to Add or subtract days and enter the number of working days.
  3. Set your week: Choose the weekend days (Saturday and Sunday by default) and type any extra days off — local holidays, a shutdown, leave — one per line.
  4. Check the holidays used: Under the result, every public holiday in the range is listed with whether it was a day off, on a weekend or counted as a working day.

Questions

What is a klämdag?

A working day squeezed between a holiday and a weekend, like the Friday after Ascension Day. Many people take it as leave and some employers give it; it’s a working day unless you add it.

How many working days are there in a year in Sweden?

Counting Monday to Friday and removing public holidays — 2026: 251 in Sweden · 2027: 253 in Sweden. Extra days off you add come on top.

Is the start date counted?

When counting between two dates, the start date is always included and the end date only if “Include the end date” is ticked. When adding working days, the start date itself is not counted.

Is anything sent to a server?

No. The holiday rules and every calculation run in your browser, and the PDF, calendar file and CSV are made on your device. Nothing you type — dates, extra days off — leaves it.
