Spain’s national holidays (fiestas nacionales) for any year — Epiphany, Good Friday, 12 October, Constitution Day… — with week numbers and a PDF calendar.

Spain’s calendar has up to 14 paid holidays a year: the national ones here, days each autonomous community chooses (Maundy Thursday, Easter Monday, Sant Joan, its own día de la comunidad) and two set by each town. Communities can also move a national holiday that falls on a Sunday to the Monday, which is why the full lists are published each year in the BOE and the regional bulletins.

Holidays per year, with how many fall on a weekday — 2026: Spain 10 (7 on weekdays) · 2027: Spain 10 (7 on weekdays).

Step by step

  1. Pick the year: Use the arrows or type any year from 1990 to 2100; the list for Spain updates as you type.
  2. Read the list: Each row shows the date, weekday, ISO week, the English and local name, and tags for substitute days or days that aren’t a general day off.
  3. Print the calendar: Choose the whole year on one page or a month per page, A4 or Letter, and weeks starting Monday or Sunday, then click Download PDF calendar.
  4. Add it to your calendar: Calendar file (.ics) imports the holidays as all-day events into Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar; Spreadsheet (.csv) opens in Excel or Numbers.

Good to know

  • This list has Spain’s national holidays. Each autonomous community replaces or adds days every year (Maundy Thursday, Easter Monday, its own national day) and decides whether a holiday on a Sunday moves to Monday; each town adds two local holidays.

  • Regional days are shown for information only — add the ones for your community and town as extra days off.

  • Count the days between two dates, minus these holidays, with the Spain working days calculator.

  • Want photos and your own events on a calendar? Use the Calendar Maker.

Questions

Which days are holidays everywhere in Spain?

Only four are fixed by law in every community: 1 January, 1 May, 12 October and 25 December. The other national days may be swapped by a community for one of its own, although Epiphany, Good Friday, 15 August, 1 November, 6 and 8 December are kept almost everywhere.

How far ahead and back does the Spain calendar go?

Any year from 1990 to 2100, worked out from the holiday rules — fixed dates, Easter, nth weekdays and the substitution rules — with known one-off holidays and start and end years applied. Dates a government proclaims each year can change, so check official sources for future years.

Is anything sent to a server?

No. The holiday rules and every calculation run in your browser, and the PDF, calendar file and CSV are made on your device. Nothing you type — dates, extra days off — leaves it.
