CSV Viewer — Open Large CSV Files Online and Filter Them

Open CSV and TSV files with 100,000+ rows instantly: sort, search, filter columns, see column statistics and export the result.

Free, with no sign-up and no watermark. The file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Open CSV and TSV files with hundreds of thousands of rows instantly — far beyond what a text editor or a phone can comfortably show. Sort any column, search every cell, filter column by column, see quick statistics, and export just the rows you need to CSV or Excel.

Step by step

  1. Open the file: Drop a .csv, .tsv or .txt file onto the upload area. A progress bar shows while large files are read.
  2. Check the settings: The separator is detected automatically (comma, semicolon, tab or pipe). If accents look wrong, switch Text encoding to Windows-1252. Choose whether the First row is the header.
  3. Explore: Click a column header to sort (again to reverse), type in Search all cells, or open Column filters to filter individual columns.
  4. See statistics: The chart icon in a header shows the number of values, blanks and unique values — and the sum, min, max and mean for number columns.
  5. Export: Export CSV or Export Excel saves exactly the rows currently shown, in the current order.

Handy for

Data exports

Look through exports from banks, CRMs, analytics or e-commerce dashboards without Excel.

Too big for Excel on a phone

Open a 50 MB CSV on any device and find the rows you need.

Quick cleaning

Filter to the relevant rows and export a smaller file to share.

Sanity checks

Spot empty columns, duplicates and outliers using the column statistics.

Good to know

  • Numbers like “₹1,23,456.50”, “12%” and “1,000” are recognised and sorted numerically; dates sort by date (day-first for dd/mm/yyyy).

  • Search matches every word you type, in any column — “Pune yes” finds rows containing both.

  • Excel exports keep numbers as real numbers, so you can sum them straight away.

Questions

How big a file can it open?

Files with a few hundred thousand rows open in seconds; the limit is your device’s memory. Only the rows on screen are drawn, so scrolling stays smooth.

Can I edit cells?

No — this is a viewer for reading, sorting, filtering and exporting. For conversions see CSV to JSON or CSV to Excel.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is opened and processed by your browser on your own device — nothing is sent to a server, logged or stored. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tool keeps working.
