Compress a video to about 10 MB right in your browser. A common limit for chat apps, job portals and forms. The output is MP4 (H.264 + AAC), which plays on every phone and computer.
Step by step
- Add the video: Drop an MP4, MOV, WebM or MKV file.
- Check the target: “Target size” is selected at 10 MB; lower the max resolution for long videos to keep them sharp.
- Compress: Click Compress Video and download the result.
Good to know
Long videos at small sizes look blocky — trim them first with Trim Video, or choose 720p or 480p.
Untick “Keep audio” to give all the bits to the picture.
Questions
Why is the result slightly different from 10 MB?
The size is predicted from the video’s length and bitrate; real results usually land a little under the target.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Everything runs in your browser on your own device — nothing is sent to a server. Once a page has loaded it keeps working offline, except that text recognition downloads its language data the first time you use it.
