Read a Peppol BIS Billing 3.0 invoice or credit note as a normal document. Peppol documents are UBL 2.1 XML; this viewer shows the parties with their Peppol and company IDs (for example 0192 Norwegian organisation numbers or 0208 Belgian enterprise numbers), order and contract references, the lines, VAT, totals and payment details.

National flavours built on the same UBL base open too: Norway's EHF, the Dutch SI-UBL 2.0 / NLCIUS, German XRechnung UBL, and the Peppol invoices Belgian businesses have had to exchange since the B2B mandate started on 1 January 2026. Files still wrapped in a Peppol StandardBusinessDocument envelope are unwrapped automatically.

Step by step

  1. Add the UBL file: Drop the .xml invoice or credit note on the box.
  2. Check who it’s from: The seller and buyer show their names, addresses, VAT IDs and Peppol electronic addresses, with the identifier scheme in words.
  3. Review lines and totals: Lines show quantity, unit, price, VAT and net amount; allowances and charges and the VAT breakdown follow, then the amount due.
  4. Save or print: Use Download as PDF or Print for a readable copy.

Good to know

  • The viewer reads files you already have; it doesn’t connect to the Peppol network or an access point.

  • Peppol IDs are written as scheme and number, e.g. 0208 for a Belgian enterprise number or 0192 for a Norwegian organisation number.

Questions

What do the scheme numbers next to IDs mean?

They say what kind of identifier follows: 0088 is a GLN, 0192 a Norwegian organisation number, 0208 a Belgian enterprise number, 0106 a Dutch KvK number, 0204 a German Leitweg-ID, and many 99xx codes are national VAT numbers (9930 Germany, 9925 Belgium, 9944 the Netherlands). Common ones are named; others are shown as "scheme" plus the code.

Does it read Peppol PINT or other UBL documents?

It reads UBL Invoice and CreditNote documents in general, so most UBL-based invoices show correctly. Orders, despatch advices and other Peppol document types aren't invoices and aren't shown.

Does it validate the invoice?

No. The quick checks only add up the figures in the file (quantity × price, the line total, VAT per rate, the grand total and amount due) and point out differences. They are not a formal EN 16931 or Schematron validation and don't check business rules, code lists or the schema — use your software's or the official validator for that.

Is my invoice uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read and laid out by your browser on your own device — nothing is sent to a server, and the PDF copy is made on your device too. That matters for invoices, which carry bank details, prices and customer names.
