Pull tables out of a PDF into an Excel workbook. Numbers, currency amounts and percentages become real numbers you can calculate with — "$1,234.50" becomes 1234.5 and "12%" becomes 0.12 formatted as a percentage. Put each page on its own sheet or everything on one.

Step by step

  1. Upload the PDF: It needs a text layer.
  2. Choose what to extract: Tables (falls back to all text) finds tables; All text, split into columns converts everything.
  3. Choose the sheet layout: All pages on one sheet or One sheet per page.
  4. Pick pages and convert: Optionally limit Pages, then click Convert to Excel.

Good to know

  • Negative amounts in brackets, like (3%), are converted to negative numbers.

  • Check totals after converting — tightly packed columns can occasionally merge.

  • Need CSV instead? Use PDF to CSV.

  • Scanned PDFs have no text to rebuild — run them through OCR PDF first.

Questions

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read and processed by JavaScript running in your browser tab. Nothing is sent to a server, and the result is created on your device.

Are formulas created?

No. Values are copied as numbers or text; add formulas in Excel.

What if no table is found?

With Tables selected, the converter falls back to all text split into columns.

Are merged cells detected?

No. Spanned cells are placed in a single column.
