Every RAW file contains a full-size JPEG that the camera made when you took the picture (the one you see on its screen). This tool extracts that image and turns it upright using the camera’s orientation tag, so the result looks exactly like the camera’s own JPEG. It does not re-develop the RAW data.

Step by step

Questions

Is the JPG full resolution?

For most DSLRs and mirrorless cameras, yes — the embedded preview is full size (for example 6000×4000 on Canon CR3). Some models store a smaller preview.

Will my photo be rotated correctly?

Yes. The orientation recorded by the camera is applied.

Why can’t I change white balance?

The tool uses the camera’s own rendering rather than processing the raw sensor data, which keeps it fast and private in the browser.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Every conversion runs inside your browser on your own device. Your files are never sent to a server, so confidential spreadsheets, contracts and photos stay private.
