Summarise a PDF with Page-Cited Key Points

Quote a PDF's key sentences with page numbers on your device, or get a rewritten summary via Gemini with your key.

Free, with no sign-up and no watermark. The file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Get the short version of a long PDF. On-device (private, instant) is extractive: it uses the TextRank algorithm to pick the most central sentences and quotes them word for word, with page numbers — nothing is downloaded or uploaded. Gemini (your API key) writes a rewritten, flowing summary with page citations.

Step by step

  1. Upload the PDF: It needs a text layer.
  2. Choose a method: On-device (private, instant) or Gemini (your API key).
  3. Set length and format: Length: Short, Medium or Detailed. Format: Bullet points or Paragraphs.
  4. Summarise: Click Summarise PDF, then Download PDF, Download .txt or Copy.

Good to know

  • On-device summaries quote the document exactly, so they never invent facts — but they can read a little choppy.

  • With Gemini, very long documents are cut off after about 600,000 characters.

  • Summaries can miss nuance; don't rely on them for decisions with legal or financial consequences.

Questions

What happens if I choose Gemini?

The document's text and your request are sent from your browser directly to Google's Gemini API using your own API key, and are subject to Google's terms. Nothing goes through EasyConvert. The key is stored only in this browser. The default model is gemini-3.8-flash and you can change it.

Does on-device mode use AI models?

No download is needed. It uses TextRank, a classic algorithm that ranks sentences by how much they share with the rest of the document.

Can it summarise scanned PDFs?

Run them through Searchable PDF first.
