EXIF Viewer — See Photo Metadata and GPS Location
See a photo's hidden details — camera, lens, settings, date and GPS location — and download them as JSON.
Free, with no sign-up and no watermark. The file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.
Photos often carry hidden information: the camera and lens, exposure settings, the date taken and sometimes the exact GPS location. See all of it here, grouped and readable, and download it as JSON.
Step by step
- Upload a photo: JPG, HEIC, PNG, WebP and TIFF are supported.
- Read the summary: Camera, lens, date, exposure and location appear at the top.
- Browse all tags: Every metadata group is listed below.
- Export: Click Download as JSON to save the data.

Good to know

Use Remove EXIF to clean a photo before sharing.
Questions
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. Every image is opened and processed inside your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, and closing the tab discards everything.
Why is there no metadata?
Screenshots, edited exports and images downloaded from social media usually have it stripped already.
Is the location shown on a map?
Coordinates are shown as numbers only, so nothing is sent to a map service.
