GIF Maker — Turn Images into an Animated GIF

Turn a set of images into an animated GIF with your choice of frame speed, size and looping. Free, no sign-up, and your files never leave your device.

Free, with no sign-up and no watermark. The file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Put a series of images together as an animated GIF. Choose the order, how long each frame shows, the width, and whether it loops. To make a GIF from a video clip, use Video to GIF.

Step by step

  1. Add frames: Upload two or more images and drag them into order.
  2. Set the timing: Drag Frame delay (milliseconds per frame).
  3. Set the size: Choose the Width and how to handle different-sized frames.
  4. Create: Click Create GIF to preview and download.

Handy for

Tutorials

Step-by-step screenshots as one animation.

Product spins

Show an item from several angles.

Reactions

Simple animated stickers.

Stop motion

Animate a sequence of photos.

Good to know

  • GIFs are limited to 256 colours per frame, so photos look grainier than in JPG.

  • Smaller widths make much smaller files.

Questions

Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Every image is opened and processed inside your browser on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, and closing the tab discards everything.

Which image formats can I use?

JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF (first frame), BMP, TIFF, SVG and iPhone HEIC/HEIF photos. Photoshop PSD files work when they were saved with a flattened preview ("Maximize compatibility").
