WebP is a modern web format that is usually 25–35% smaller than JPG and can be transparent, but some older apps cannot open it. JPG (JPEG) is the universal photo format: small files, no transparency, and some quality loss every time it is saved.
Images saved from websites are often WebP. Converting them to JPG lets you open, edit and upload them anywhere.
Step by step
- Add your images: Drop your WebP files on Upload WebP images, or click to browse. Other image types (PNG, JPG, HEIC, WebP, TIFF and more) are accepted too.
- Choose options: Set Quality — around 80–90% keeps photos looking the same at a much smaller size. Background for transparent areas sets the colour that fills see-through pixels, because JPG can’t store transparency (white by default).
- Convert: Click Convert to JPG. Each image is decoded and re-saved in your browser.
- Download: One image downloads straight away; several download together as a ZIP. You can also download any single result from the list underneath.
