JPG (JPEG) is the universal photo format: small files, no transparency, and some quality loss every time it is saved. ICO is the Windows icon format; one file holds the same icon at several sizes, and browsers use it for website favicons.

Turn any photo or logo saved as JPG into a multi-size icon. JPG has no transparency, so the icon will have a solid background unless the image is non-square (the extra space becomes transparent).

Step by step

  1. Add your images: Drop your JPG files on Upload JPG images, or click to browse. Other image types (PNG, JPG, HEIC, WebP, TIFF and more) are accepted too.
  2. Choose options: Tick the Icon sizes to include.
  3. Convert: Click Convert to ICO. Each image is decoded and re-saved in your browser.
