TIFF is common for scans and print work. Files are large and a single TIFF can hold several pages. JPG (JPEG) is the universal photo format: small files, no transparency, and some quality loss every time it is saved.

Converting TIFF scans to JPG makes them small enough to email and upload. Multi-page TIFFs become one JPG per page.

Step by step

Can I convert several images at once?

Yes. Add as many images as you like. A single result downloads straight away; several results download together as a ZIP, and each one also has its own Download link in the results list.

Some TIFF won’t open — why?

TIFF has many variants. Common ones (uncompressed, LZW, PackBits, Deflate, CCITT fax) are supported; unusual ones, such as JPEG-in-TIFF from some cameras, may fail.
