Is it safe to paste untrusted HTML?

Yes. The HTML is read in an inert document — scripts don’t run and images or other resources aren’t loaded.

Why do tables look misaligned?

Cells are separated by tab characters, which line up properly when pasted into a spreadsheet or a monospaced editor.

Is my text sent anywhere?

No. Everything is processed by your browser on your own device — nothing you type or upload is sent to a server, so it is safe to use with private notes, drafts and work documents.
