EPF Calculator — Provident Fund Balance at Retirement

Project your EPF balance at retirement with salary growth, the current interest rate and the new ₹25,000 wage ceiling.

Free, with no sign-up and no watermark. The file is processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Project your Employees’ Provident Fund balance year by year until retirement. You contribute 12% of basic + DA; your employer’s 12% is split between EPF and the pension scheme (EPS), which takes 8.33% of wages up to the ₹25,000 ceiling.

Interest is credited yearly on your running monthly balance — the way EPFO does it. The default rate is 8.25% (declared for FY 2025-26).

Step by step

  1. Enter your wages: Type Monthly basic + DA and your Current EPF balance.
  2. Set ages and growth: Fill in Current age, Retirement age and the yearly salary increase.
  3. Adjust options: Change the interest rate, and tick whether you’re in EPS and whether your employer pays on full wages.
  4. Review: The balance at retirement, chart and yearly table update live. Export with Download CSV or Download PDF.

Good to know

  • EPS money builds a pension, not your EPF balance.

  • Interest above ₹2.5 lakh of your own yearly contribution is taxable.

  • Future interest rates are assumptions — EPFO declares a new rate each year.
