Search a block of text for a word, phrase or pattern and replace every match at once. Choose Match case and Whole words only, or switch on Regular expression for advanced patterns with captured groups ($1, $2…). A live count shows how many matches there are, and every match is highlighted before you copy the result.
Step by step
- Paste your text: Add it to Input text.
- Enter what to find: Type it in Find. The match count and highlighted Matches preview update as you type.
- Enter the replacement: Type it in Replace with, or leave it empty to delete every match.
- Set options: Tick Match case, Whole words only or Regular expression as needed.
- Copy the result: The Result box shows the text with all replacements — click Copy or Download.

Good to know
In plain mode, “$” in the replacement is inserted literally; in regex mode, $1, $2… insert captured groups and
amp; inserts the whole match.Whole words only works with letters from any language, not just English.
If your regex is invalid you’ll see the error message instead of a result.
Regular expressions run in the background with a two-second limit, so a runaway pattern such as
(a+)+is stopped with a message instead of freezing the page.

Can I undo?
Your original text stays untouched in Input text — only the Result box shows the replaced version.

Can I replace line breaks?
Yes, with Regular expression on: find \n and replace it with whatever you need.
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. Everything is processed by your browser on your own device — nothing you type or upload is sent to a server, so it is safe to use with private notes, drafts and work documents.
